Google Drive
Google Drive uses a one-time sign-in - there are no keys to create.
1. Set up the storage
Nothing to prepare in advance. You only need your Google account.
2. Connect it in Nyx Backup
- New backup set > destination Google Drive.
- Choose Sign in with Google and approve access.
- Save the set.
Nyx Backup requests access only to its own app folder, not your whole Drive, and stores just the access token - never your Google password.
Once Test connection succeeds, set a schedule and retention, save the set, and choose Run now. Nyx Backup encrypts everything on your machine before upload, so this destination only ever holds encrypted blobs. Give each machine its own bucket or folder - see Connecting storage.
Tip: because access is limited to the app folder, Nyx Backup can only see what it wrote - it cannot read the rest of your Drive.
